Discovery Scholar Program (DSP) at NMSU

The Discovery Scholar Program is aimed at undergraduate students looking to expand their research experience by working with a faculty mentor on their very own project. For the academic year 2023-2024, I am currently mentoring one undergraduate student in psychology.

Matias Rougier is currently investigating how target prevalence and frequency, and peripheral distractors affect Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) search and attentional performances.

Undergraduate Research Experience (PSYC 400, NMSU)

Each semester, my lab welcomes between 5 and 10 undergraduate students as research assistants (RA). Each RA is provided with comprehensive training in experimental methods and research ethics, encompassing both behavioral and eye-tracking/pupillometry studies. Beyond research, I support these students in achieving their career-oriented objectives, including aiding in graduate school applications, securing academic or non-academic  internships, and applying for scholarships.
